It’s going to be a long weekend ahead considering its Holy week. These are days when you see the wheels of life grinding slowly over a lengthy time off from work, a better time to reflect on the deeper meaning of our lives.
While some of us go to beaches, mountains, and other paradise-like resorts to relax and unwind, it’s also best to take the time to go to one of the places we often fail to visit, and that’s the quiet place within us.
Here’s something to ponder on…
The Paradox of Our New Millennium
We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers,
wider freeways, but narrower view points.
We spend more, but have less.
We buy more, but enjoy it less. (more…)
Do you have some collectible items displayed in your shelves or stashed away in your cabinets? You can share them in iTaggit, a fun site for “every thing you own” where these items are stored and organized in a secure web-based management information system.
The site has a ‘Public Items’ collection where iTaggit members share their collectibles and stuff - a Japanese fan, a Chinese silk painting, marble goblets, Okinawan doll and lots more. There’s also a gallery of ‘Items for Trade’ where members put up some of their collectibles for sale. For stamp collectors, they can browse items from the site’s stamp collection gallery.
This unique online environment in iTaggit provides their user community with a fun way to make the most out of their collectibles.
“…I can't let that happen again, ‘cause then you'll see my heart in the saddest state it’s ever been.”
I just can’t get enough of this song from Relient K, one of my fave CCM (contemporary Christian music) artists. Ever since I heard this song on Yahoo! LAUNCHcast radio, I’ve been searching high and low for an mp3 of this song. After some futile attempts, I was able to get an mp3 but it was not the acoustic version I want. But thanks to a blogsy friend, I was surprised to hear this song’s acoustic version included in one of his podcast episodes. I didn’t waste time in asking him for an mp3 (thanks Kuazee!). I just love singing along to its poignant melody and the lyrics somehow describe some of my own sentiments as a person with a longing to change, not wanting to go back to the ugly shadows of the past, recognizing mistakes and being remorseful for them.
Here’s an audio clip of the song. Too bad, i.PH’s audio quality is not that good. Just email me if you’d like to have an mp3 of this song. I’d be more than glad to share it with you.
