Take me to Prague!

August 14, 2007

I’m chatting with my cutie sis now, aside from the usual family updates, we’re also talking about visiting her in Prague…really! Mom will be going there by September and she wants me to go with her but I am not ready yet, financially that is. Is there such a thing as ‘fly now pay later’ sort of cheap loans please? :) I told her I could go by October or November since my expenses will be tamed by then. But then again, that won’t be summer anymore, it would be colder by that time, not really a good time to visit Europe. My sis said we might not like going out and just stay at home. I haven’t really had a need for loans, but visiting my sis and her new born baby is one good reason to get some secured loans to help me out with this temporary need before summer is over. Hmmm…I can see my fairy godmother waving her magic wand behind me. ;)

8 secrets for me

8secrets Cutie sis included Bo Sanchez’s latest book ‘8 Secrets of the Truly Rich’ among the stuff to be sent to where she is — in Prague that is. Thanks to Mariel and Mai-mai! I had to scour the malls for this much requested book only to find out there were no more copies in National Bookstore and we didn’t even know when the new stocks will arrive. Geez…I didn’t know it’s a bestseller! Good thing, we found the last two copies at Lopue’s. I immediately bought one for my cutie sis. As soon as we arrived home, my Mom started reading it and kept laughing and telling me some funny excerpts from the book. She loves it! The author Bo Sanchez who calls himself ‘the preacher in blue jeans’ got her! The next day she went back to Lopue’s and bought the last copy. I started reading few chapters last week…it’s a practical and spiritual take on money issues. I’ll be posting my thoughts about the book as soon as I’m done with it.

All about jewelry

Pianegonda, Mattiloli, Mikimoto, Roberto Coin, Tacori…these names do not represent some clothing line or designer shoes, these are actually some of the hottest brands in stylish jewelry collection. Well, that’s what I’ve learned after browsing over at J.R. Dunn's jewelry blog which features articles on everything about jewelry — hot picks, how to’s, jewelry care and repair, celebrity news, engagement rings, diamonds, Italian jewelry, industry regulations, and other interesting topics.

Jewelry lovers can get some tips from their articles, such as the ‘Top Twelve Ways to Wear a Long Necklace’, which shows how one can get varied styles and uses from a single piece of a 52-inch necklace. I found it particularly weird to see a necklace worn over the shoulder like a bag, but this is actually a fad in Europe nowadays. Well, that’s fashion for you…anything goes!
