Nothing much. Yeah, I don’t really use it a great deal except for the sidebar where I put some gadgets for easy access – local weather, calendar, mini media player and CPU/RAM meter which displays my system resources.
Here’s how it looks like:
A representation of nature on my screen sorts of neutralizes the technological experience working on a computer brings.
This is actually a meme from Aileen of Life's Simple Pleasures. Now I’m tagging Snglguy, Wil, Cai, Lazarus and Rey to put up a screenshot of their desktop too! Here are the instructions to be followed:
[TAG STARTS HERE]
My Desktop Free View Instruction:
A. Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.
You can do a screen capture by:
[1] Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
[2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V).
[3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.
For MAC users: Press [ Apple] [ Ctrl ] [ Shift ] and [ 3 ]
B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of icons. Things like that.
C. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.
Thanks for the tag. I’ll work on this.
You have a very clean and organized desktop.
yehey! wala ako. ito ata yung tag na ayaw ko gawin. hahaha.
ang ganfa nung right side. parang ang complicated. hehehe ;p

Wow, those are some cool gadgets you got in your desktop, carey. Where did you get them? And btw, how’s Windows Vista? Is it bug-free now?
Thanks for the tag pala, will do it soon. Have a great weekend.
done with the tag!
have a great weekend, carey!
Kewl!
Window Vista’s good, right? Sad, mine is still XP. That’s why I want to use my boo’s PC.
Aileen: mas grabe pa gid ang Windows Aero for Vista desktop, it was too OA for me, showing unecessary thumbnails when you hover your mouse on the windows toolbar. It was the default set by the supplier, I thought I can’t change it, but after tweaking around a bit, I discovered how to change it to Windows Vista basic for a faster and streamlined operation.
Posted by ideasnpink at October 1, 2007, 11:58 amWil: It’s clean coz I don’t use it really. It is immediately covered by a program that automatically opens whenever I start the laptop. I also deleted the other unecessary program shortcuts.
I will be checking your blog soon.
Tin-tin: Hehehe… shempre naalala kita, kaya lang I want to give chance to others naman. LOL. as if. Saan na yung address mo pala? email mo lang sakin.
Daisy: ayaw na ni Tin-tin ma-tag!
Snglguy: The weather, clock, calendar, cpu meter gadgets come with Windows Vista. The mini media player was from Microsoft Vista’s download site which features lots of free Vista gadgets.
Lazarus: Thanks!!! First to do the tag ha!
Natalie: Vista’s OK, it’s just eating up a lot of the system’s resources compared to XP. So if you plan to use it for your OS, you might be experiencing slow processing unless you have a power packed computer. I only have 1 GB RAM so it’s a bit slow sometimes.
Thanks for dropping by!
BTW, I don’t have any of those graphics program installed on my laptop, never had any use for them kasi eh. So now, my problem is how to post the image in my blog.
Snglguy: You can use Windows Paint, it comes with all the Windows OS, and can be accessed in the Accessories program group (like Calculator, Notepad, Wordpad, etc.)
After pressing the print screen key, open Windows Paint, then paste it and save as jpg. E-mail me if you have any probs.
Posted by ideasnpink at October 1, 2007, 3:38 pmAy! Oo nga pala! I forgot about Windows Paint, hehehe. Man, I really ought to do some serious reviewing…
Thanks for reminding me, carey
Posted by snglguy at October 2, 2007, 7:52 amWow… naka window vista ka!!! Stig!
Posted by sweetie at October 3, 2007, 10:57 amhi Carey. I’ll do this soon. As soon as my boss came back. Thanx!
Posted by Rey at October 3, 2007, 12:06 pmSnglguy: you’re welcome. like you, i also tend to overlook things sometimes.
Sweetie: thanks… it’s the OS that came with the laptop package kasi… if given the choice, i’d still go for XP since it doesn’t eat up a lot of system resources.
Posted by ideasnpink at October 3, 2007, 4:45 pmRey: thanks, and just do it when you have the time!
nice desktop…such a relaxing view.where’d you get those gadgets on the sidebar?
Hi Raine! most of them are default gadgets from Vista OS, only the mini mediaplayer was downloaded from the web.
relaxing view ba? i might change it with a Heroes photo for the desktop background maybe, hehehehe….
