My cute baby niece is growing fast and she’s such a hyperactive baby just like her cousins in Finland. I recently saw her on my cutie sis’ webcam lying and crawling on their floor. Here’s how she looks like now:
I could see that she’s going to be an energetic kid when she grows up. Anyway, kudos to my sis for bringing up such a healthy and happy baby. I just wish I could give my cutie sis some books on parenting since most of the reading materials they have are in the Czech language, even their baby books and songs.
Well, at least with the Internet around, there are many parenting resources to read and digest. For instance, there’s Gurgle.com, an online parenting and pregnancy resource for moms, soon-to-be-moms, parents and for those who would like to know more about everything related to this topic. Their articles are helpful and provide extensive information and tips - ‘Packing your change bag’ gives you a list of the essentials so you’ll be prepared and ready, while ‘Transporting your baby’ discusses and weighs the pros and cons of prams and pram-pushchairs, slings, car seats, back carriers and any of those equipment used for carrying your baby during travel, whether on foot, by car or airplanes. And since babies cry oftentimes when they’re hungry or sleepy or for whatever reason, it’s a tough and challenging task to make them quiet, check out some tips from one of Gurgle’s videos which shows you how to soothe and comfort your crying baby.
There are other features of this parenting site such as their nifty baby namer tool which provides the meaning and origin of your baby’s name including related articles such as ‘Baby name dos and don’ts’, ‘Naming your baby’ and ‘The dangers of naming your child’. It is fun to use and I just learned that my niece’s name is of Irish origin. Hmmm…I wonder how my cutie sis scored with some of the baby name do’s and don’ts. I have to agree though with most of the rules especially about choosing a name responsibly and thinking about how it will have an impact on the future of your child when she becomes an adult. Anyway, for the dads and moms and soon-to-be parents, Gurgle has a lot of useful articles on pregnancy, birth and labour, home and safety, lifestyle, travel, feeding and food, education and more.
