Alternatives to Free Webhosting

March 28, 2011

Most of my friends are not very familiar about the technical details of webhosting even if they do have their own blogs already. Usually, my techie bro do the domain registration and blog installation for them, all they do is just provide the domain name, the blog title, username and other basic requirements. Going deeper into webhosting technicalities can be time-consuming especially if you don’t have the patience for it and you simply lack the interest.

For those new to the web, and want to build their own website, they usually turn to free webhosting sites such as Google web hosting via sites.google.com which offer some web building tools to create simple web pages. While such a free web hosting site enables a newbie to create his/her own web page easily, the features are very much limited.

A professional-looking website can actually be built even at less than $5 per month. There are actually many feature-rich webhosting providers that offer easy site builders at affordable rates, some even offer free domain for life. These affordable webhosting providers belong to the top hosting list as compiled by alreadyhosting.com and are considered as great alternatives to Google web hosting as they include unlimited bandwidth, unlimited disk space, 24/7 customer support and many other features.

But if you doing this just for fun then, having a website and/or blog just or fun then the free web hosting should suffice.

about me

I’m just another simple soul inhabiting the blogosphere, writing about the bits and pieces of my life, sharing my thoughts and reflections on life’s journey… these are what I fondly call my ideas in pink.

Ideas are powerful. A train of thought can make or break, build or destroy. The choice is ours. Our ideas become our future. I believe that life’s meaningful lessons are best learned when shared with others.
